We are excited, as we were able to meet and sponsor twenty additional students in August 2011. We had a wonderful time, kids were friendly and we had some fun. NOW we are looking for INDIVIDUAL SPONSORS for those students in BA TON!!!

Annual sponsorship is less then $0.38 a day, or just $11.25 a month* or $135 annually.

Our first student is a boy, his name is Dang, TRUNG TRUC. He was born on the 1/7/1997 and has one sibling. Truc is currently in grade 10 at Doan Thi Nghiep High School. He needs tuition in math and English. 

Truc's father is a hired worker.  
Annual Educational Support for Truc is $135, which includes school fees, uniforms, books and insurance.

Our second student is a girl, her name is Nguyen, THI NGOC HIEN. She was born on the 12/3/1996 and has three siblings. Hien is currently in grade 11 at My Phuoc Tay High School. She needs tuition in math and physics. 

Hien's parents are hired workers.
Annual Educational Support for Hien is $135, which includes school fees, uniforms, books and insurance.

Our third student is a boy, his name is Nguyen, DINH KHOI. He was born on the 10/8/1997 and has one sibling. Khoi is currently in grade 10 at Thanh Loc High School.

Our fourth student is a girl, her name is Huynh, THI THU HIEN. She was born on the 16/1/2000 and has one sibling. Hien is currently in grade 7 at  Thanh Loc High School. She needs tuition in English.

Our fifth student is a boy, his name is Nguyen, THANH PHONG. He was born on the 10/5/1995. Thanh Phong is currently in grade 11 at My Phuoc Tay High School. 

Phong's parents are hired workers.

Our sixth student is a girl, her name is Nguyen Thi, NGOC HONG. She was born on the 5/8/1999 and has one sibling. Ngoc Hong is currently in grade 8 at Tru Van Tho High School. 
Special Needs: Ngoc Hong had bile cancer. She had to undergo chemo therapy in Sai Gon. She is now in remission and back to school. Even though she missed a lot of school, Ngoc Hong is one of the best in her class.

Ngoc Hong's father is a hired brick layer and works in Sai Gon on low wages, job is not secure.

Annual Educational Support for Ngoc Hong is $135, which includes school fees, uniforms, books and insurance.

Background information:

From June to December 2011 Ngoc Hong was undergoing chemotherapy fortnightly in Sai Gon. Ngoc Hong and her mother had to travel by bus to Sai Gon, she had to stay in hospital for 3 – 4 days after the chemo. In January 2012 we visited Ngoc Hong at her home in Ba Ton, Mekong delta and handed over $1000 to help with the medical expenses the parents had paid. We also donated a mobile phone so the parents can communicate.

Our seventh student is a girl, her name is Phan, HO KIM CHI. She was born on the 1/4/1997 and has two siblings. Kim Chi is currently in grade 10 at Tu Kiet High School. She needs tuition in math, English and Physics. 

Kim Chi's parents are hired workers on very low income.

Our eighth student is a boy, his name is Tran, THANH TRA. He was born on the 15/9/2000. Thanh Tra is currently in grade 7 at Tru Van Tho High School. 

Family is very poor, his mother is mentally ill and has got eye problems, family income is very low.
Annual Educational Support for Thanh Tra is $135, which includes school fees, uniforms, books and insurance.

Our nineth student is a boy, his name is Pham, DUY KHANH. He was born on the 29/6/1998. Duy Khanh is currently in grade 9 at Tru Van Tho High School. 

Duy Khanh's family is very poor, his mother is sick, income is very low. 
Annual Educational Support for Duy Khanh is $135, which includes school fees, uniforms, books and insurance.
